I've just had my '92 940 (270,000 Km LPG) diagnosed with cylinder head corrosion. (Combustion going into the cooling system). So the head is coming off for repairs. I am quite disappointed, as I have always maintained well with quality coolant.
My question is: Is this common? My search of the site & the net does not show this to be such a concern, however my Volvo repair man tells me otherwise. Even on cars with impeccable service history and moderate kms he has had the same problems. What has been others' experience with the B230 head and cooling system?
