For the last hour I've been trying to remove the Bosch rotor! I'm reaching the point of impatience and am afraid I will soon do something rash! I've taken the advice of gently twisting the rotor side to side while pulling up on it but to no avail. I've looked at the new Bosch rotor to get an idea of how it is seated on the thingamajig, and it looks like removing it should be a breeze, but it's NOT! I've looked at an old iPd newsletter where it says pull straight up on the rotor. I've folowed all the tips but the rotor just won't budge! I've tried placing a screwdriver under one of the "arms" of the rotor and using the screwdriver as a leverage, but still nothing. I'm afraid to mash down on the aluminum plate and deforming it, so applying leverage with a screwdriver doesn't help much here. Grrrr. I'm taking a break and cooling off before I give it another go. Maybe some of you guys can give me some inspiration!
On another note, the spark plug change went well. More on that later, but right now I need to get the ROTOR OFF! ARGGGGHHHH!
