Okay, I don't want to start anything but I have to "come out
of the closet" on this one. They may not be "performance Volvo
Muscle cars" but I love driving the one I am fixing for my son!!!

I know this is not the popular opinion, but I happen
to love the automatic I am putting back together for
my son. It has the BW35 in it and now that I am very
close to dialing in the carbs I find that it is anything
but a snail. In fact it has some very nice pickup to it
and I have to say I am enjoying not having to shift
and downshift, especially in heavy rush hour traffic.

I know it is no muscle car and 4-speed manuals seem to
be the popular thing here but I had to finally state
how I feel.

From most of the posts I see I guess I got a realy good one!!!

I of course am lucky, as between my son and I we have one
of each. But I realy have enjoyed driving my son's automatic
as of late and am going to be sad once it's done and he won't
let me drive it anymore...ha ha ha ha!

To each his own I guess, and I am begining to love the fact
that most don't want the automatics; as I will eventually want
one for myself and that means i will save a few G's on a
really nice one.

Not trying to start a debate here or anything, I just didn't
want anyone with an automatic to think that there was anything
wrong with having one or buying one. It just seems that they are
dogged on somewhat and they do deserve their own little spot in
Volvo history. And the one I grabbed for a whopping $386(?) on ebay
a year and a half ago will stay an automatic for life!
