Just an update on the intermittent rough idle on the 940. I have to date checked the fuel pressure (43.5psi and a twenty minute bleed down), replaced the air temp sensor, map sensor, ECT, cleaned throttle body and IAC, replaced spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and run both the Regina system diagnostics and the Rex diagnostics; both of which returned 1-1-1 codes.
When the car reaches operating temperature it immediately starts the rough idling which gets progressively worse as it is driven. Does anyone know exactly what happens in the ECU when the engine comes to temperature? I am using the Volvo Service manual TP 31903/1 on Fault Tracing the Regina fuel system.
I almost believe that I am looking in the wrong place and that it may not be fuel or ignition related.
Regards,
