The B18 I'm messing around with has in it one of those old-time copper sandwich with the asbestos(?) filling head gaskets. It looks in perfect shape. I could shine it up and hang it over the mantelpiece as an ornament. I expect that the head will be coming off several times before I'm through with this project, and, being the cheapskate I am , I'm not particularly enthralled with the notion of having to slap on a new head gasket every time I do. Would it be save to re-use this copper beauty, at least, till I close the thing up for the last time? BTW, this engine will, probably, never run above 2800 rpm.
