Well, aside from all my motor swap, gearbox, timing, and carb fun, I managed to grab an almost paintless B-20 grill badge. I like the style of the B18 badges more than the B20 badge, but this motor is not a B18 and it just doesn't feel "honest" to keep the "B18" badges on there.
My question is about painting this badge up proper. I've already restored my 122S badges with ford red around the "S" and flat black for the "122" and finished with a nice coat of clear varnish. They look *really* nice - actually a bit too nice for a car that's still primer grey.
Anyway, from what I've seen of B20 badges with paint, the background behind the "B" is supposed to be black, while the background of the "20" ends up red. While I could do that, I think it would look sorta "wrong" considering the color scheme of the side badges.
What do you fellows think would look better?
