Hall sensor in 88 760 700

Hello,

I'm trying to diagnose a sudden no start condition. It's been suggested that it may be the hall sensor. The FAQ suggests that the tach will move "slightly" when cranking if the hall sensor is functioning properly. How much is this slight movement? My tach justs blips a hair on initial crank and then sits there as I continue to crank. Does this sound normal?

Thanks!
