Steering Question 200 1989

I recently read in the 700/900 faqs that putting a magnet in the steering fluid reservior before changing the fluid is good idea. Anybody do this? Is there any chance that the feeder line intake might get plugged by doing this. It sounds like a good idea. Thanks and Merry Christmas
