Thanks for all the encouragement. 200 1988

For my last post "when is it enough". I was a bit frustrated and now am back under the hood of my 245. I figured I'd give her a treat and clean the throttle body and set the base idle and mixture. Found I couldn't set the mixture (using the LED diagram from the FAQ) . No matter what I did it would be rich. Took off the intake hose AMM and breather box. Replaced the air filter, tested the AMM and inspected the hose to the throttle body. Found slits in the hose again. Taped it with good old Canadian duct tape. Put her all back together. Now I could set the base mixture. I had no other running issues with the car. I had no idea it was running rich. It idled smooth and the tailpipe was clean. Another 15 bucks won't hurt. Afterall I've spent countless weekends trying to find the water leak that was soaking my floor.
