960 Manual 900

For my next car I am looking at something with a b6304. I was really considering putting one of those into my 242 but after doing a schedule and budget that would run about 18k. (more than I payed for my 911) Therefore I am considering a 960. However they only come in automatic. I avoid automatics like the plague. So my question for you all is if any of you all have put a stick in a 960?
