Speedometer acting weird 200

The speedometer on my '88 240 sedan is a bit messed up. The only way it will work is if you tap on the dash. After that it doesn't seem to be reading accurately. The odometer also isn't working. Is there a way to repair this?

I was going to try another speedometer, but is there anyway to set the mileage to what the car has? Does anyone have a spare speedometer that would fit?
