i finally found the information on a larger capacity oil filter for the b230.

motorcraft: FL-1a
ac delco: PF2

these filters are a direct fit for the 3/4-16 thread our blocks have (same as Ford).

caveat: motor mounts must be in tip top shape.

if you have weak, or beat up motor mounts, the fit will be way too tight (at the alternator) and may ressult in your car damaging the filter & vomiting oil all over the place.

if your mounts are in good shape, all will be fine.

i'll let you all know how this works out -at least until i score my dual oil filter relocation kit from Summit.
