I might have a lead on a little-old-lady driven '95 960 that a friend's family is looking to sell for what might be a song. I haven't checked the car out yet and i don't know much about the service records but i'm excited enough to start checking out the history on that model year. the car has about 90k on it, again not sure about how well it was maintained yet but i'm assuming it was old lady driven and kept up with probably at a dealership.
Anyway i've researched here and it seems everyone has a different opinion on the 960's especially the 95 which apparently was the upgrade year on the suspension which isn't cheap to fix. but supposedly the I-6 of that year is very reliable?? i've heard a few bad things about wiring harness of that year in particular? things like AC leaks and heater problems don't worry me as much as chronic cooling problems, oil leaks, major electrical, etc. I say that because i know a lot of folks around here sometimes will allow little tic-tac issues like AC problems or cheap upholstery to influence their opinion on the reliability of a vehicle. I'm just a poor man looking for reliable transportation and low cost of ownership. the wheels are about to (literally) fall off my '90 240 and i need something quick!
thanks in advance for the help, i didn't post this in the buyers forum because it looks like there aren't a lot of responses over there
thanks again
