Anyone recommend Gabriel or Monroe shocks that are normally sold at Pep Boys? 200 1989

I always hear about Bilstein or Boge (Original stuff), but I've been thinking about the more affordable Pep Boys shocks. Two things I'm really looking at are quality and longevity. How long do Gabriel shocks last? Also, I just want something that gives a nice, plush ride--not really looking for performance. I have a M-B, and it seems like the euro cars come stock with stiffer shocks. American roads aren't that smooth, so a nice absorbing (NOT bouncy!) shocks are what I'm looking for. Monroe has the Sensa-Trac, I wonder how that is. I should mention that I have an iPd front swaybar (planning to add the rear later) and a CT strut brace, so maybe someone can better match a shock for me. I'm not a crazy driver, but it would be nice to have some shocks that can work well with these upgrades.
