Fix or part out? 'new' 89 740 Turbo Wagon 700 1989

Not as smart as I thought I was :>{}

What would be reasonable to spend on a dealer maintained 89 Turbo Wagon with 340,000KM? This was to be my nice clean Volvo, with Turbo and A/C to replace the 86 744 I've been driving for 12 years.

All acc's and options work fine, replacement (used) turbo 20K and retro-A/C few years ago. The upper body looks great, however I apparently bought a 'no rust on body' car with extensive frame rail rot. I assumed 'rust free' meant just that, but I'm sure I'd get caught out with the difference between the 'body' and the 'frame' if I went back to the seller on this point.

I was just quoted $2000 for the floor repairs and the re-welding of the front trailing suspension bushing points (rotten at frame rail).

This might be not worth putting on the road at all.

Greg (I'm old enough to know better!)
