Last month I posted on an issue with my '83 not turning over. Essentially, I would be driving around for a while and then I'd get back in to start it, but the starter wouldn't even engage. Then the next morning it would start up no problem. There were numerous suggestions..wiring, neutral switch, etc. After speaking with someone off the boards, they suggested there was possibly a crack in the ignition coil and that when it got hot it wouldn't work. When it cooled it would work again. Since, this is my first Volvo, I'm not the most mechanically inclined and it was an easy fix, I gave it go. Well, I haven't had any issues with it since changing the coil. Just thought I'd let everyone know in case they come across a similar problem. I'd also like to say thanks for all the responses and people assisting me to work out the issue.
