Motor mount BRACKET availability - Say it ain't so Joe 200 1988

My question here is has anyone acquired a NEW motor mount BRACKET from anywhere but a dealer? A friend of mine borrowed one of my 245's for a few days - I mentioned I had to put in the right side motor mount (I know from posts here that I should now replace the other mount and tranny mount). My friend works on cars too and said he would replace the mount for me in exchange for borrowing the car - I of course said fine, I had already purchased the mount from FCP Groton and had it in the car, and I wasn't going to ask for anything for just borrowing the car. When I picked up the car a few days later he said there was a small crack in the upper bracket, that he had walked a couple of miles to the parts store in the pouring rain and bought one for $26.99, so I owed him for it. I was happy with that, and thought what luck and I was amazed that they had a bracket in stock. I looked at the new mount and the upper bracket looked new - clean. Then LATER I thought about it - a Volvo motor mount bracket in stock? I stopped at the same store (I think) today for some minor stuff, and checked on the cost of the bracket. They said they don't even have a listing. I called the largest parts dealer in town and they said it's a dealer item. Now I'm wondering about my friend - I'm hoping someone has bought one at a parts store; otherwise I'm quite disappointed. I would have been happy to lend him $30.
