My wife's Nephew was first on the scene of this accident.
North of Victoria BC, Canada and heading North on the highway a young lady hit water and hydroplaned. It spun her around and she sheared off a lamp standard and then went down a bank. I've seen the lamp standards along this section of highway and they appear to be on 8"-12" of concrete.
I believe the car is a 1991 740.
Her injuries were: 2 collapsed lungs, pelvis broken in 4 places, ruptured spleen and lacerated liver, broken jaw and cheek bone, and cracks in some of her vertebrae. I met her 6 weeks after the accident and she's doing incredibly well.
