242 GT? 200

I found a 242 GT in a junkyard today. I have always wanted one of these so I was too excited to remember to ask the year and they were closing. Anyway it has a really good body, fair interior black with the red insert in the seats, perfect front end with the fog lights, no dents, dings and only two small rust spots on one fender. 4 speed with overdrive, and all the emblems. The only bad thing was that the guy thought it either had a bad sparkplug or a burnt valve. He turned the key but the battery was too dead to get it running but it did try to start. Engine compartment looked good and no visible leaks. Ok the question, is this worth 500? And can it be converted to a later model B230 with an M47? Or better still a later model turbo????
Thanks for any suggestions, I am really hashing this one out. My wife says one more Brick and she goes. The guy is willing to take my old turbo 244 parts car as a trade-in.
