How does the 740 compare to the 240?

Just bought a 740 with 220,000Km's on it. How does it compare to the 240. Reliabilty and engine. Is it a non interferance engine too?

My 240 is a 1988 and the 740 is a 1990. Is there any common problems with the 740 I should look out for?
