After I drove 400 miles with a Uhual trailer to pick up my first Amazon, the PO (or POS, depending on how you look at it) "forgot" to mention that the rear end on my 64' two door suffered a what appears to be a relatively minor impact in the rear where the trunk is warped and pushed in and the metal that is underneath on the strip that has the gas cap is pushed and cracked in pretty badly (rust has also formed). The two pictures he had on craigslist did not have that angle... I got the price knocked down a good bit from what we had agreed on, but I've been a little scared to get an estimate at a body shop.
I will post a picture of what I am talking about when I get home.

I have always agonized at the thought of putting a lot of money into it to have the frame pulled and a bunch of welding to repair the rear, and possibly have it look like crap still. I came a across a donor car in the area thats a 65 4 door. My questiion is would it be a more reasonable option to get the donor car for about $200-300, part it out, and have them straigten the rear end of my two door the best they can and weld in rear of the donor. If that sounds like a pipe dream, its because I know nothing about body work! Not even sure if the rear end of a 64 2-door will match up to a 65 4 door. Many thanks!
