Plugs and wires question

Hello,

As part of the tune up for my 1984 244DL, I replaced the spark plugs.

On the advice of the Autozone guy (I know) I bought some cheap plugs from Autolite. I believe that they are copper but I need to check if I still have the boxes to make sure (I had replaced some sparks on a truck with Platinum ones and my memory is blurred).

My Volvo mechanic told me the distributor cap, rotor, and the wires needed to be replaced. I bought a Bosch cap and rotor from FCPGroton, as well as a Bosch wire set with reference 09232.

I read here that it would not be good if both the plugs *and* wires were of resistor type. Looking at the Autozone website, looks like the cheap Autolites they have are resistor type and that's probably what I bought. Even though it's hard to find the information, the wire set I bought seems to be also resistor type. Will need to check on the box or documentation when I get home.

Can anyone confirm this? From reading some posts, I concluded that I also needed Bosch W7DC plugs to go with those wires, or NGK BP6ES. Is that right as well? I plan to go back to the store and try to find those. I wish I had known and would have bought them from FCP and the same time.

Thanks!
