Stripping an Amazon; lead concern? 120-130

Hello,

I'm to a point that I can spend time with the Amazon again and planning on fixing rust and repainting this year. Time under the tarp in hibernation wasn't kind and there is more rust appearing than I had hoped so I want to just take off as much paint as I can to assess and repair rust and dings. I know light sanding and rust conversion is little more than a band aid so I'm prepared to cut out the cancer where necessary.

But it just came to my attention that the factory white paint may contain lead, and I was planning on sanding to bare metal with 80 grit, essentially stripping the exterior. Although I can protect myself well enough I don't want to end up with a garage full of lead dust or have concerns about doing it outdoors. Could be that there is no or so little lead that it is a non-issue but I want to know for sure.

Anyone heard of this being an issue with sixties Volvo paint?

Thanks for any info.
