940 no start 900

Daughter's 1992, Regina, non turbo, b230,225000 miles died after 5 minutes of driving. I determined not getting spark, can not hear the fuel pump relay come on.
when the key is turned, the engine turns over, but does not catch.
I have owned multiple 240s, Regina is a bit of a mystery to me. I have replaced the radio suppression relay, and fuel pump relay. I have not had a chance to pull codes, pouring rain, will do that next. I am currently printing out the FAQS for no start.
Suggestions? Any advice welcomed.
