Ok....im planning to start looking for a B20F, hopefully with SU HS6 carbs in good rebuildable condition and planning on the bored out model rebuild. Now to the Cam. Going on the IPD site....i have three options from them.....
Stock C grind
Street Torque cam
Street performance Cam
Now i rarely get to or above 3500 RPM and doubt i will ever need to get near the redline of 6000 RPM as they say. so i dont think the performance cam would be for me. Torque = accleration and thats what im looking to get with the added HP. I would like it to be peppy (reason for the B20 bored out rebuild) but would also like to have reasonable gas milage (its a daily driver not a racer) so how does the Stock Cam compare to the Torque cam?
with the torque cam and bored out rebuild ...am i still looking at gas milage in the low to mid 20's with reasonable daily driving...dropping obviously when i have fun with it and push the pedal to the floor.
So what to do what to look for....
