I recently bought a 93 945t. After about 150miles, all of the R134a leaked out. The inside of the engine was green in multiple places (below compressor and at the low side fill port). I am wondering what is the best way to tackle this one. There is no pressure in the system. The compressor has been replaced with one on which the threaded lines are parallel rather than the original V-shaped that came on the 93. The hose from the drier to the compressor has been bent to fit the new compressor, but the job was not done well. (Does anyone happen to know which hose will fit without any bending?)
I have a small vacuum pump, but not a maifold guage set. I thought that I could try and fix the leaks by testing for the ability to hold a vacuum. Any recommendations on renting/buying a gauge set? Do the cheap ones work? Can I pull a vacuum on the system with the oil still in it, or will the oil outgas forever? I have never worked on the AC before, but am willing to try.
Thanks,
Steve
