changed O2 sensor - mileage went down? 200

hello,

i recently changed the 02 sensor half hoping to improve my gas mileage, but it seems like it has actually gotten slightly worse.

about 6 months ago, i was getting about 24/25 mpg and eventually noticed a gradual decline to about 21/22 mpg.

i thought changing the O2 would fix the problem but, lately, i'm actually getting more like 20 mpg.

what else could the cause be? any suggestions?
