installing hall sensor on 1990 b230f as preventive measure? 200

I am driving a 1990 245 with almost 200,000 miles and my spare parts car is a 1986 of the same type (245 with NA gas engine)with 145,000 miles. I understand that the 1990 does not have a Hall sensor connected to the distributor but some similar sensor which detects that the motor is running somewhere from the flywheel and that it is fragile and relatively difficult to access.

As a preventive measure, would it be wise, complicated or feasible to use the Hall sensor from the donor car to replace the current flywheel sensor on the 1990?

Is there much difference between the 1990 and the 1986 distributors, will they have to be swapped?

If I decide to do it, how should I go about it and what rewiring would need to be done.
