1990 244 206K on the clock
I think this is an OD relay problem, but I thought
I would post this and get the opinion of the
board before I pop $30 for a relay.
This is an intermittent problem.
In colder weather, say below 30 degrees F,
Every now and then the yellow transmission
arrow will light up accompanied by an
"ee,ee,ee,eep" broken up high pitched buzzing
sound. about once a month in colder
weather it will downshift out of overdrive
when the above occurs. I had the transmission out
2 summers ago to redo the seals and tailshaft bushing.
The wire to the trans. is intact and the OD solennoid
looks OK - the transmission is not the first one
in this car - it has fewer miles. This doesn't happen
very often so I haven't done much with it, but I would
like to get it taken care of.
Thanks in advance for the help!
