Apologize if second post, help diagnosing passenger brake light failure please 200 1990

My original post seems to have disappeared, therefore, I try again.

My passenger brake light will not work. Both other brake lights work, as do all other lights but the fog lights. I've replaced the white socket with a brand new one, as well as a new bulb. The circuit sheet is deformed a bit around the lower middle blank hole, but not around the brake hole. Also, I'm not quite sure where the fog lights are supposed to show up.

While I know how to repair broken wires, I've never learned how to diagnose where the break is. I missed physics class (something about not wanting to spend 4-5 periods a day with a nun who also was my Calculus teacher in a public school... I should have put up with it, DRAT!), and am really at a loss!

If someone could be so kind as to either recommend where I can learn this, or take me step by step through this problem, including what I'm doing with either a test light or an ohmmeter, I would be very grateful! I need to stop being afraid of wires!

This car will see the road again... I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

Thank you!
ezsha
