2130 revisited 120-130

Based on the input I got back from this board in my original "cam anomolies" post back in June, I concluded that I need to either

a) look for a rebuildable B20 locally and rebuild it,
b) look for a rebuilt B20 locally, or
c) buy a rebuilt B20 from Vintage Performance Developments.

Since then, in my passive searching, I've come across two leads for option (b), neither of which panned out, mainly because I didn't feel they were worth what the sellers were asking.

I just recently came across another, slightly different option:

From the sellers description...
B20, $2300
The motor was built last year. It has zero miles on it.
IPD 2130 cc engine kit
IPD perfomance cam
Fuel injected head (injectors pluged for use with carbs)
Balanced/ported/polished
Double valve springs
Bronze valve guides
New valves
New Water pump
New IPD HD oil pump
New Flywheel
New Clutch

I just called the guy up and also learned that:
- the head and block are both 1972 or 73 vintage (he can't remember off hand), but from different cars.
- the "porting" work on the head was not super-involved, rather it was cleaned up to better-than-stock.
- he'll throw in an extra head gasket that he picked up
- the work was all done by a local old-timer who has supposedly done a few of these B20 big-bore rebuilds.
- he's got the reciepts for the parts and labor (which total roughly the asking price)

I read the "B-20 Bored to 2130cc" thread posted by lawunion, from which I gathered that the main "problems" with the IPD-kit 2130cc B20 engines are:

- headgaskets are rare and/or expensive ($75 from Kgtrimming, etc).
- big-bore power gains aren't realized without complementary modifications (mainly to the head):

Based on the specs listed, does this seem like a decent deal?

I know the answer to that depends strongly on the quality of the work. Assuming the work done was of exceptional quality, does 2300 seem reasonable?

What questions would you ask the seller if you were in my shoes?

Thanks for the help!

vh.
