Apparently my daily driver's alignment was bad enough to cost me about 2 mpg in fuel economy. It seems to have improved about 2 mpg after an alignment.
Car had been getting about 22 mpg in mostly highway driving. Not what I'd hoped for. Now it's getting about 24 mpg.
Filled up the next morning, following the alignment.
Since that fillup, I drove it 170.5 mi. and filled it again today.
It took 7.102 gal.
170.5/7.102 = 24.007 mpg.
I place no significance in the digits following the zero !pun!).
Granted I've only driven 170 miles for this test - but it's a good change.
However going from around 22 to around 24 is good news.
Considering the winter temps and rear snow tires, it's reasonable, considering I was getting about 25-26 during the summer over the same route, at similar speeds.
