A couple of weeks ago I picked up an '87 760 Turbo sedan for $135 from a local Indy shop. The owner killed the turbo engine and was in the process of installing a 740 NA engine in the car. The transmission was also dead, so I don't have a good one for it. The NA engine is just sitting in the car, not hooked up. The car has damage to the driver's side headlight area where someone attached a tow strap and bent the metal. The clearcoat is peeling off, but there's no body rust.
My question is: Should I look for a good auto trans and fix this thing or use it for parts? My ' 84 760 T would benefit from several of the parts that this car has. The 2 piece front hub/rotor is one of the good points. The interior is also decent, and I could use some of the auto climate control parts for my ' 84.
Thanks in advance.
