THE QUESTION
basically i think my brick is totalled, due to frame damage. is it worth it to take off the brand new tires/wheeles, sensors and any other parts to try to sell them on ebay? would people buy them? what else should i take off to sell? is there a better place to sell them? almost everything is rebuilt/new on the car.

THE STORY:
ok so i have a 1989 740 GL that i bought for a first car (i'm 17) for $50 :) last summer i started to rebuild the entire car, starting with the complete engine rebuild. about 3 months ago i did the final step after replacing/rebuilding everything, except for the poor idle problem, and i got it painted. it looked good..



well 2 days ago i was on my way to school and the roads were icy and snowy. i lost control, overcorrected (being an inexperenced snow driver) and the car spun so fast the other way, there was nothing i could do, i slid off the road right into a tree :( thank God it was on a skinny backroad and there were no other cars at the time. after making sure my lil brother was ok i let out a few "choice words" and got out to see the damage.....not good. it hit the back fender right at the small corner window in the back. the fender was really messed up. and the window was shattered. i was able to drive it (so i thought) and drove it back home. i got it home and cleaned up the glass. i looked underneith and saw a terrible thing, the whole rear/wheeles shifted about 4" towards the passenger side (the inside of the tire was rubbing on the metal on the drivers side. so at tha point the s#%t had really hit the fan. so basically i think the car might be totalled :( the worst part was i was so pissed off that i happened that i didnt even realize my head was throbbing from hitting the inside of the car. thank God my little brother slammed into me, instead of the car.
if it has to go i'm going to miss that car so much, i've had so many good times in that brick, i loved it! it was a great car for the $1400.00 i put into it to rebuild it.
