Newer bumper on older 240? 200 1982

Quick question before I go to the picknpull. I'd like to replace only the front commando bumper with the lighter, flush-fitting bumper founder on the post 86 240's. What should I grab from the donor car to make this work? Will my early air dam fit right under the new bumper?
