Tight shimmy 700

I have a 1989 740 that has a very slight shimmy/ vibration that I feel in the steering wheel and also the seats and dash. It's not heavy but it keeps the wheel from feeling dead steady at speeds over 35. I've changed both tires and wheels with dynamic balancing and it is almost gone but still persists. Looking at the vented rotors w/ ABS I noticed a slice cut out of the rotor presumably in manufacture. It is about two inches lengthwise while the other side has a small 3/4" chunk out of it. Could this irregularity cause misbalance and a little bouncy spring during rolling? Or is this standard in manufactured rotors? It seems odd that a chunk is missing when you go through so much to balance the wheels and they add a couple of postage stamp weights. Anybody experience this tight shimmy and solve it? Would an alignment help since I did put in new strut inserts and bushings, and anti sway bar- it helped but its still there. Thanks
