Can a newer v70XC wagon compare to my 240 DL? 200 1990

Brickers,

I love my old 1990 240 DL wagon but all good things must come to an end (eventually).

The reasons I love it so are most likely the same reasons you all love yours:

not too fancy
not too hard to work on my self
safe
heavy duty
long lasting
well made
capable of high milage and many years of service
high quality
rear wheel drive, front engine (I know I am out of luck here.)
versatile
practicle

Now for the question. Do you think I will be happy with a newer
v70xc wagon? I'm thinking of a 2001 or later model with the rounder body style.

I know its a loaded question and there has been a lot of discussion already but I'de really like the latest and greatest opinions.
