new battery...click....no start 200 1985

hey guys, interesting issue.. i've never encountered a starter to go out on one of these cars, but I just got done putting the head back on an '85 that I picked up. It started and ran great the first day, no issues with the starter or anything. Today I went out to start the car and all i get is a "click" out of the starter, I knew that the battery was on its last leg so i went out and bought a brand new battery and still, no start. All cables and connections are solid as well. Any ideas??
