:-) Butt Freezing Cold Starts Problem - Solved ! 700 1992

THANKS ! To all who gave the advice on how to solve the below zero starting issue I was having.

Mr Zorak, Bruce et al....

I pulled the TB, soaked a toothbrush in Lucas FI Cleaner, scrubbed and soaked down the 5th injector with Lucas and let it sit for about an hour. Did it first thing this morning.. and did not start the car before I did the work.

Put it all back together. Vrrrrroooooooomm, first turn, stayed running on its own just fine.

Took it for ride down the road, came home, sucked some Lucas FI from the bottle using the larger vacuum hose on the TB as the siphon. Did this while the car was running being careful not to choke out the engine while sucking the Lucas through.

Took it out for a wide open throttle run, came home, shut it off.

Let it get cold again (4 hours later). Went out - Started it Vrrrrrooooom ! First turn again.

Took it out for run, damn thing ran like top, more power, ran smoother, started on the first (more like 1/2) crank.,

I will go out on a limb and say the problem is solved. I also looked at the MAP Sensor too while I was out there. I didn't scan for codes but, the internals were spotless, the connector and cable was in perfect condition.

Next job.. Pull out the compressed rear bumper and figure out how to get the busted electric mirror pieces back together.
