Hello, when in overdrive, the car can be felt to come out of overdrive, like a downshifting automatic transmission. The overdrive light goes out when it disengages. I can push the OD button, hear the click and see the OD light come on, but sometimes it slips out immediately, other times not.

It seems as though the actual button in the stick shift doesn't stay pressed.

Suggestions as to the cause and the fix before I take the shift lever apart?
