rhs wheel touches body when turning right 700 1990

got a hell of a fright a few days ago, was turning right (car is RH drive) and had to floor it a bit. Heard this grinding sound. Seemed to develop over the next few days as it required less juice to get the same sound when turning.

Jacked the car up today and noted that cause appears to be from inside rhs front wheel contacting the rear of the wheel arch. problem is,everything looks ok. No obviously loose bits hanging. Thought that occurs is that front springs/struts may be soft causing front to sag etc is this a possibility?
