volvo trans and overdrive into a Triumph TR3 1800

Being a new owner of a Volvo 1800 and also owning 2 TR3s, I was just wondering if anyone knows if the trans and overdrive from a 1800 would bolt up to a TR3 engine. It seems that you can pick up Volvo trans. for alot less then TR3 overdrive trans. If they would bolt up, I might consider looking around for a trans to install in one of my TR3s. I would love the 4th gear overdrive. Anybody know if this is possible.
