240 Died....in blizzard. no fun. (long) 200 1990

Just wrapping up a day of fun with my '90 245DL. yesterday it croaked at the end of a 1:15 trip up north (Millinocket, Maine) I've been chasing what I thought was a vacuum leak with no luck for two weeks or more, now this. It made it to within 100 yards of it's destination! Anyway, the surging idle, bad mixture codes, (113, 231, 232, sometimes 221) turned into a rotten egg smell after getting off the highway. I stopped at a store and it had stalled when I came back out. after much cranking, swearing and pumping/holding the gas, it started back up and ran terrible, popping and smelling bad, trying to quit. I made it another 1/2 mile to to the point where it finally "failed to proceed" as they say in the Rolls Royce owners manual. After driving all over the northern part of the state yesterday in a blizzard rounding up parts, I started on it this morning. cleaned + battery terminal and replaced corroded looking connector to the ECM fuse. vroom! ran right away, like crap, but ran. then smoothed out and idled ok. then CE light again, code 1-1-3. later showed 2-3-1 too.. RATS! Still thinking fuel pressure, I replaced pump and filter. No change, CEL again code 1-1-3 haven't checked other codes again yet). What the hell, it runs and I gotta get home, so loaded up and drove 1:15 home. Idle now surging again. Thinking of ordering a fuel pressure regulator tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I dunno. maybe I'll be found on the v8 forum...
