MY SON'S 240 - STILL NO START 200 1988

Good Morning Folks;
First, thank you for all your advice, but our poor old '88 240 is still not responding to treatment. We changed the fuel pressure regulator last week and the injector temp sensor as well. That was not too bad a job, we discovered that with the idle air controller removed there was enough room to get a wrench up under the intake manifold and replace the suspect sensor. Still no luck. We removed the spark plugs, cleaned and warmed them with a propane torch (an old snowmobiler's trick) and when we tried to start the car it fired once or twice and then nothing. More wet plugs. As it is a beautiful sunny afternoon here in eastern Ontario, I will get out there in a few minutes and resume the fight. I will check the timing belt and the AMM . VLV world is just a few miles away and I will run up there to see if Stephane has a used AMM to test.

Best Regards;
Mike Coleman
