I've been trying to remedy a high idle when warm. AS recommended, I pinched the line from the main intake hose to the input side of the IAC. THe idle returned to near normal.
I removed and inspected both IAC hoses and no leaks/cracks were found. I removed and cleaned the IAC and bench tested it with a 12V power supply. Re-installed everything and no change.... Still idling at 1500 rpm.
I disconnected the plug to the IAC and the idle increased even more (probably upto 1800) and it started wandering.
I removed the main air intake hose and checked for cracks, looks good.
I checked the resistance on the coolant temp sensor at pin 13 on the ECU connector. I was reading 240 ohms with a fully warm engine, this appears to be within spec based on a recent post.
What I havent done is clean the TB or set the base idle. I havent cleaned the throttle body yet cause I dont have a gasket and one of the ball and socket joints on the throttle linkage is 1/2 broken and I want to have a spare on hand before I pop it off (and probably break it).
Any ideas???
