1992 960 has oil in cly #1

The car was running poorly, pulled plug #1 found it sitting in oil, expensive Mobil One oil. Car was consuming oil upon hard driving, 5,000rpm's, for short term. I want to know how to handle this problem, and how big of a problem might it be?

Finally, replaced #1 plug, runs well, will take it to the mountains again, and push it, and see what happens to the oil consumption problem.
