I may have solved a small problem.
Tracking down my poor gas mileage (outside of the weather & change in gas formulation) has been a chore to say the least.
Yesterday, after a break in the cold, I decided to check the accordian hose/tube running from the AMM to the TB for pin hole & cracks. Found none.
I did find that the hose ends, on the ones that run from the throttle body to the charcoal canister, were looking beat up & not tight. I trimmed them down & got some results.
One hose (hard, thin plastic one) has a rubber 90 degree end.
What are we doing when this piece needs replacing? Can I take the trimmed piece (kept as a guide) to the auto store, match it up, buy a small section, and replace?
Does this rubber 90 degree just pull of the hard plastic line as it appears?
Do I need to go to the dealer and purchase the entire line?
The other line (rubber) is easy enough IMO.
However, all suggestions WILL BE APPRECIATED.
