I am trying to replace the o-ring on the speedo sensor on my 91 240. The manual says to disconnect the sensor, and screw it out, but that some models have a tamper proof cover that must be removed. Mine has a braided wire loop over the sensor.......

How do I get this thing off without breaking the sensor?
