Do i really have leather? 900

I have been looking around for accessories and such for my 93 944 N/A, and i keep coming across vinyl protector and leather protector when searching for chemical and products of that nature. Anyways i bought some very good leather conditioner with warnings on the label to only use two coats of this stuff or one could over saturate the leather with oils and such. So i did my two coats with no difference in the feel, or look of the "leather", which makes me think is it actually leather.
There is a small hole in the rear seat so i tried to pull it up a little, and on the bottom it looks like what the back of leather looks like. Anyways if anyone can let me know how to tell if it really is leather or not? That would be amazing!.
