I am attempting to replace front struts, and have been trying to get the whole assembly out of the hole. I've stood and bounced on the control arm, disconnected the rear control arm mount, in addition to moving the brake bracket so it can't hang up. I also have four coils of the spring almost completely compressed.
The outer edge of the control arm is currently lower than where it was when the wheel was on it, but I still have almost 2" to go before the top end will clear the tower hole?
Please, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I want out of this vehicle for humanity project, but I don't have the option of throwing a match at it at this point!
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can get Junior on the road!
